About Michael Fulks

Michael Fulks has been a professional photographer and photo educator for over 30 years. He is also presently one of the Lead Photography Instructors in the Multimedia and Photography Department at Red Rocks Community College (RRCC) in Lakewood, Colorado.

 

His courses at RRCC include Commercial Studio Lighting, Digital Darkroom, Figure Photography, Perception and Imaging, Photoshop, Corel Painter and Professional Inkjet Printing.

 

As a professional photographer he owned and operated Photography by Fulks, a full service photo studio in Conifer, Colorado.

 

In 1995, Fulks co-founded Apogee Photography Magazine, the longest running photo magazine on the web, serving photographers of all levels around the world. Over 40 of his articles on photography and the psychology of photography have been published and republished in the States and overseas including the UK, Israel, Australia, and Italy and numerous camera club newsletters all over the world. He has published one book of his photographs, "She's Not From Around Here" , and is presently working on another.  His photography has appeared in local newspapers, as well as Fine Woodworking and Denver Magazine.
