Elizabeth Powis Fulks holds a B.F.A. in Fine Art with an emphasis on
Photography and art education, and an M.A. in ESL She has been a partner in Camera Literati for
8 years.
Elizabeth is presently
involved with the body art done in the She's Not From
Around Here series. Using elements found within art of
various cultures, she designs and executes unique works of
art on each model. These drawings are created directly on
the body and are washed off after a few hours, making them
art of the moment.
Elizabeth
also currently teaches Art full-time at an elementary school in the Denver area.
She enjoys studying world cultures, animals, and geography
through the mediums of pencil, paint, clay, printmaking,
collage, and textiles with kids ages five to thirteen.

Michael Fulks has been a professional photographer and photo
educator for over 20 years. He is also presently the
Chairman of the Multimedia and Photography
Department at Red Rocks Community College (RRCC) in Lakewood, Colorado.
His courses at RRCC include
Commercial Lighting, Digital Darkroom, Figure Photography,
Digital Photography, Traditional BW Darkroom, Perception and
Imaging, and Portraiture.
As a
professional photographer he owned and operated Photography by Fulks, a
full service photo studio in Conifer, Colorado.
Over the years he has been a
judge for local photo competitions. He is currently one of
the judges for the International Black and White Spider
Awards.
In 1995, Fulks co-founded
Apogee Photography Magazine. Beyond his publishing duties, he
has also written over 40 articles for Apogee Photo Magazine
as well as other international publications. He is
co-author, along with Thomas Harrop, of Digital
Photography, a Complete Primer. He has also published a
book, She's Not From Around Here that include images from the "She's
Not From Around Here" project.
